Set the scene

- A child-safe LED torch
- A clear wall or sheet of white paper

An invitation to play
- Stand a few blocks on a stable surface near a wall. An adult holds the LED torch.
- Shine the light past the blocks and notice the shapes on the wall. Keep the torch pointed away from eyes.
- Move the light closer and farther away. Turn the changing silhouettes into a story.

Trace a shadow on paper, then move the light and trace again. Compare what changed.
