Set the scene
- Blocks in at least two colors or shapes

An invitation to play
- Start a simple repeating sequence: blue, pink, blue, pink.
- Ask your child to continue it. Say the colors aloud as you point to each piece.
- Invite them to make a pattern of their own for you to continue.
